The time had officially come. I double checked the visa stamp in my passport for the 100th time but it still read the same thing in blue ink. My P1 visa expires Sept 09. Well it was kind of lucky I guess, it was meant to expire a lot earlier but for some reason the customs guy on the way in gave us an extra 10 days, so i cant complain I guess. To be honest it was definitely the easiest leaving has ever been, i suppose due to the fact that packing wasn’t such an ordeal and also knowing that this will be the last time I will have to leave the states as a “non-immigrant”. Just a waiting game now until the fiance visa comes through and I’m back there with T for good.
Although leaving was hard it is good to see my family. Especially after one of my lovely sisters drove off on me at the airport because my plane was taking forever to taxi to the gate, thanks for that knees. Mum is coming back to Melbourne via the train this afternoon and I’ll be heading out on the train tomorrow to go see dad for a few days. The house is looking really good. Whilst I was gone a lot of changes have been made to make the place look smashing for potential buyers. There is still a fair bit to go though, but seeing this has given me the inspiration to pull my finger out and really help my dad to get the place finished up for sale.
Being back here this time i really want to use my days to my advantage. Last time i was home for a tour I was way fucking lazy and literally sat on the couch, skyped and drank the days away. Well not this time. Not only do I have a lot of plans/ goals I am actually feeling extermely motivated to actually fulfill them. If I had to put my finger on the source of this motivation it would definitely be the changes that have occurred in my life over the past couple of months. I am no longer tied down, I am free, I can challenge myself.
Time to get to it I suppose.
